Welcome to Unique Theme Weekly Wedding Forecast! Please enjoy this weeks issue featuring:

Are You Seeing Red?

Were only 13 days away until Valentine's Day!  And in celebration of that - what about taking all those "heart's" out there and create your theme around that!

The great thing about a heart theme wedding is that supplies are plentiful.  You can find heart candles, heart candies, heart invitations etc.  But, you don’t have to stop there.

Give your guests a custom package of deck cards with instructions on how to play the game hearts (hearts is a trick taking game in which the object is to avoid winning tricks containing hearts).  Or even set up an area for individuals to lounge (smoke cigars - not sure if smoking is allowed anywhere anymore though....) and play a few games of hearts.

Or instead of giving away a favor to your guests, make a donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation instead.

And the color.  Red is hot.  It is one of the biggest color trends for 2008.

Red is the color of love/passion.  Roll out a red carpet for your guests; the “red carpet treatment” is a way to make your guests feel special or like a celebrity.

If doing your whole reception in red makes you “seeing red” than consider just adding bursts of red throughout the venue such as scattering red roses throughout the venue or on the tabletops.

Or mix red with softer colors such as pinks, yellows or purples.  Consider a bouquet of pink roses mixed with single red roses throughout it.

If your wedding is going to be the “greatest party” of the year – than let your guests “paint the town red” at your wedding.  Instead of having a guest book, set up a paint station and let your guests paint a red heart with their signature on a large poster board.  You can then frame the poster and display it in your home as a constant reminder of your wedding.

And of course, if red is going to be your color – make sure you take the “red eye” flight that night to your honeymoon destination.

Get Ready For Some Jungle Love

On my Weekly What To Trend List - I included a book below - which took me back to Africa.  My husband and I spent a month their for our honeymoon & it was a trip of a lifetime.  Loved it!

In the book, The White Masai: My Exotic Tale of Love and Adventure, Corinne Hofmann tells how she falls in love with an African warrior while on holiday in Kenya , the photos of her in her white "classic" wedding dress surrounded by the Masai is fantastic - talk about incorporating two very different traditions.

The Urban Safari Theme Wedding is of course one of my favourite themes for many reasons and it's extremely easy to do.

No continent is even vaguely comparable to what Africa offers. It has a limitless amount of diversity and anything you can possibly conceive of - can happen in this land.

This is possibly one of the most unique weddings to have. As by holding an Urban Safari Wedding; you enable your guests a glimpse into this wonderful land of beauty.  Check it out today in Unique Theme Weddings along with all the other great themes!

"I had no idea what type of wedding I wanted....Not knowing what I wanted to do for my wedding, I bought the book.  Unique Theme Weddings gave me the idea - my fiancé and I met at the zoo and as soon as I started reading the Urban Safari wedding - I knew this was it!  I followed the theme to a tee - it was fantastic. Thanks for all the help!" -- Sherry McLaughlin - Stettler

The White Masai: My Exotic Tale of Love and Adventure
When your looking for some de-stressing...get your hands on this runaway international bestseller.
Corinne Hofmann tells how she falls in love with an African warrior while on holiday in Kenya. After overcoming severe obstacles, she moves into a tiny hut with him and his mother, and spends four years in his Kenyan village. Slowly but surely, the dream starts to crumble, and she hatches a plan to return home with her daughter, a baby born of the seemingly indestructible love between a white European woman and a Masai. Compulsively readable, The White Masai is at once a hopelessly romantic love story, a gripping adventure yarn, and a fine piece of meticulously observed social anthropology.
